This page is a reflection of my skills, abilities, and experiences in making informed decisions regarding teaching and learning, particularly with technology. I've drawn upon my abilities to research and identify best practices in making informed decisions about teaching, learning, and technology. I have also provided artifacts that demonstrate these skills and abilities.
INFORMED DECISION-MAKING
Stages of Technology Self Reflection:
In my ETEC 524 class we reviewed several models, or assessments, that gauge different levels of technology integration. I am most familiar with the STAR Chart and already know where my campus and myself stand on that one, so I decided I would see how I fared in the ACOT. Below is a self reflection and then I have attached the ACOT handout so you can see how you measure up!

I would consider myself to be in Stage 4- Appropriation on the ACOT model. I allow student freedom within parameters, allow the internet to be used as a resource, I have loosened up a little on my teacher directed tendencies, which by the way is SUPER hard when you’re a little bit on the controlling side. ;)
I would love to get to the Stage 5 Innovation, but I feel I need more training and knowledge before I just go all in. I feel that this stage if not done correctly could little to a little bit of chaos.

ETEC 562 Article Reviews:
Here are several articles that I have review during my ETEC 562 course. This course focused a lot on integrating technology. These article have given me great insight and opened my eyes to the "World of Tech" along with helping me to see the ways that educators can integrate technology into the classroom, and other areas of education, along with the benefits of doing so. Each link will take you to an article reflection dealing with technology integration.
HIED 595 Research Methodology
I am currently enrolled in HIED 595 so below I have attached my "work in progress" research paper. I will continue to update this as I make changes to the document. My paper is researching the effects of extrinsic reading incentives if used in a growth based program. The program that I will use to gauge growth will be I-station, which is a computer based reading program used in several schools in our district.
